This webinar is for Support Coordinators who want to know more about Guardianship and what to do when the question of Guardianship arises in their work with an individual or family.
DDWA advocate Maxine Drake has been supporting people in Guardianship matters for many years, seeing an array of situations play out in community and hearings for Guardianship applications. The advent of the NDIS has seen a spike in applications to the Tribunal and in parents ringing up to talk through this issue. It has also seen Support Coordinators reflecting on their role in making applications or advising families on the need for an application for a Guardianship order.
This webinar explores the myths and the reality of Guardianship. It also gives opportunity to explore real and current examples of positive and not so positive outcomes that can flow from getting involved in Guardianship matters. This webinar will be interactive with opportunity to discuss real life examples.
